Who you’ll be working with
Sanders Retirement Planning was built around a simple idea: people navigating retirement deserve honest, straightforward guidance from someone who genuinely has their best interest in mind — not a product to sell.
"I got into this work because I watched people I care about face real uncertainty around retirement and never quite find the honest, straightforward guidance they were looking for. That stuck with me. When you reach out, you'll hear from me directly and can expect straight answers and an honest read on where you stand, whether we end up working together or not."
Logan Sanders, CFP®
Co-Founder and Senior Financial Planner
"Like Logan, I got into this work because I watched people I care about struggle to find trustworthy guidance around retirement. That stuck with both of us. My focus is behind the scenes — managing portfolios, overseeing operations, and making sure the investment strategy and the financial plan are genuinely built around each other. Logan and I work closely on everything, because the best outcomes happen when both sides of that equation are aligned."
Scott Leise, CIMA®
Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager
One plan, every piece connected
Your investments, taxes, insurance, and estate plan shouldn't be four separate plans — they're one. We treat them that way.
The gold diamond at the center of our logo represents you and your plan — the goal everything else is built around. The layers beneath it are the disciplines that support it: income planning, tax strategy, and investment management. The rings around it are the safeguards that protect it: insurance and estate planning. Every element intentional. Every piece connected.

The introductory call is a short conversation—typically about 15 minutes—designed to help us get to know each other.
We’ll start by learning a bit about you: what prompted your interest in planning, any questions or concerns you have, and what you hope to achieve. We’ll also share more about our services, how we work with clients, and answer any questions you have about our process, fees, or philosophy.
The goal isn’t to give advice on the spot—it’s to help both of us determine whether we’re a good fit to work together.
If it looks like we can help, we'll walk you through what the next steps would look like. If not, we'll try to point you toward someone who might be a better fit. Either way, the goal is that you'll leave with more clarity than you had before.
-
No. The call is genuinely low-key — our goal is to understand your situation and give you an honest read on whether we can help. If it's a good fit, we'll explain what next steps look like. If it's not, we'll tell you that too. Either way, you won't feel pushed.
-
It means we never earn commissions or sell products. As a fiduciary, we’re required to put your best interests first—always.
-
Your personalized plan can include investment strategy, retirement income projections, tax planning opportunities, Social Security timing, insurance and estate guidance—and it evolves as your life does.
-
That's actually pretty common. Some people come to us because they want a second opinion. Others feel like their current advisor is more focused on investments than on a comprehensive plan. We're happy to have an honest conversation either way — and if it turns out your current situation is in good shape, we'll tell you that.
-
We work best with people who are approaching retirement or already retired, and who are serious about creating a plan. While we don’t have a hard minimum, our services are typically most cost-effective for those with investable assets of $500,000 or more.
-
No—we proudly work with clients locally in Omaha and nationwide via secure video meetings and digital tools. If you're in Omaha, we'd love to meet in person. But geography isn’t a barrier.
